The Absolute Adventure philosophy is simple - discovery through challenge. Real challenge, the kind of challenge you face when you embark on an adventure into the unknown. Absolute Adventure is about using the New Zealand outdoors to encourage people to push themselves to new limits and to overcome their challenges and fears in order to achieve their goals. We specialise in real adventures where the team-building, leadership and bonding happen automatically as a consequence of the experience rather than relying on analogies drawn from games and make-believe scenarios. Plus adventures are a lot of fun and provide a chance to get to know others in a completely different context. |

Absolute Adventure has designed an adventure race circuit specifically for corporate teambuilding. It is definitely a big day out, with several mental and physical challenges so it is best suited to teams of people who are active and enjoy a challenge as well as a bit of friendly competition. The main outcomes are group bonding and leadership however participants will also learn new skills and get a chance to put them into practice for real. Experienced outdoor instructors will be on hand at all times to teach skills, coach and look after client safety. The adventure race is made up of several different tasks combining problem solving, physical and group co-operation elements. The group will be split into smaller teams and each team allocated a qualified outdoor instructor to look after the safety and technical elements of the tasks. Teams will be required to complete each task in order to collect vital information. When all the tasks have been completed and all information collected it can then be pieced together to give the location of the teams reward. The course includes challenges like abseiling, rock climbing, map and compass navigation, rope work and caving as well as various problem solving activities. The winning team is the one that has collected their reward first. All tasks must be completed as a team. |
